Piazza Navona & Campo di Fiori in Rome

Enjoy  cup of coffee or gelato while exploring Piazza Navona. 

There are 3 Baroque fountains. The one in the center of the piazza is Bernini’s Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi. The Fountain of Four Rivers represent the 4 great rivers of the world at the time - The Nile, the Plata, The Ganges and the Danube.

The Fountain of Neptune or Fontana di Nettuno created by Giacomo della Porta 


The Fountain of the Moor or Fontana del Moro on the south end of the piazza features 4 tritons also by Giacomo della Porta. The statue of the Moor was later added by Bernini. 




A short walk from the Piazza Navona, you may want to visit the colorful open food market of Campo di Fiori
