Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur
3:27 PM
This modern six-tiered Buddhist temple dedicated to Thean Hou or the Heavenly Queen is also known as the Temple of the Goddess of Heaven.
Multi arched gateway |
Dragon-inspired columns and pagoda rooftops
The temple was decorated with plenty of lanterns as part of the Lunar Festival celebration.
Popular as a wedding venue, there were multiple couples getting married on the day we visited.
To reach the main temple, you’ll need to climb a couple of flight of stairs. There’s likely an elevator but didn’t see one on my visit.
