Chin Swee Temple

A good stop on a visit to Genting Highlands. You can visit the Chin Swee Temple on your way up or down the Awana SkyWay.



Located at 4600 ft above sea  the Chin Swee Temple was officially opened in 1994. Donated by the Genting Group founder Lim Goh Tong, his statue is on the temple grounds near the waterfalls to commemorate his contribution.

On the drive up or on the gondola you will surely see the 9 storey pagoda.   





Due to limited time we weren’t able to go inside the main temple, you’ll need about an hour to 2 hrs depending on how fast you can climb steps.

There’s a Starbucks on the temple grounds (one level down from the large Buddha statue near the Main temple) 

If stopping by Chin Swee Temple on the way up to the Genting Highlands Resort you get off and exit and go down a few escalators to get to the temple grounds. If you’re stopping from the resort on the way down, you get off then go down one level then cross to the other side then go back up to access the exit to the escalators to the temple grounds. You’ll need to take a few escalators to reach the temple. Free stop but make sure to Keep your Awana Skyway gondola ticket, use it to continue your trip t the peak or to the bottom. 


There is also a free shuttle form the First World Hotel (9AM-12PM; 2 PM-9PM bus leaves every hour)

HOW TO GET HERE: You can stop for free if on the way up or down with the Skyway Gondola or take the free shuttle from the First World Hotel.
