The Pantheon in Rome

Rome’s best preserved buildings, the Pantheon was built between 118-125 AD. Standing in the Piazza della Rotunda, it is a marvel of Roman Engineering. 





You can truly admire its huge dome and oculus from the inside. 






It’s dome is larger than the cupola of St. Peter’s Basilica by 2 ft. Michelangelo who designed the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica was said to have studied the Pantheon’s dome.
