Disneyland Tokyo

12:19 AM

A few minutes walk from the JR Maihama Station, Tokyo Disneyland is also accessible by the Disney Resort Line.

Currently celebrating the summer festival of Sairyo Kabu, Tokyo Disneyland is adorned with Japanese lanterns. Once you enter instead of Main Street like in other Disneylands you are welcomed into the World Bazaar. This covered area has many gift stores including the penny arcade. The Great American Waffle Co where you can get Mickey shaped waffles can be found here in the World Bazaar.

Some of the must stops in Tomorrowland are the "Monsters Inc Ride & Go Seek", Star Tours, "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters" and the Tomorrowland Hall (lottery tickets for shows). You can grab a strawberry Mickey Mouse shaped churros in front of the Grand Circuit raceway.

A great area for young kids is Toon Town and Fantasyland. Make sure to stop by "Pooh's Hunny Hut". Classic rides like "It's a Small World" and "Dumbo the Flying Elephant" are a must for any Disneyland visit.

The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall is a great place to eat. There is also vending machines of drinks just outside it.

It's seasonal parade Sairyo Kabu is a parade depending on where you are you'll get wet. The main performance is in front of Cinderalla Castle. This area is reserved for lottery winners. You can get a good spot early but be aware you can potentially get wet as the parade sprays water. The floats also go around the parade route. The Disney characters usually just go out onto the float near the central viewing area (area around the castle).

Visit Cinderella's Castle and see beautiful displays of the scenes of the story. You can also fit the glass slipper at the throne room. There are beautiful views of the park from the stained glass window and from the castle.

Don't forget to stop by Cinderella's fountain at the back of the castle.

I always love the details in Disney parks like these columns at Cinderella's Castle.

Good spots to take a photo of the Castle besides the front of it is from the walkway on the right side of the castle and at the walkway near Snow White's Grotto. There is a Mickey Mouse Statue behind the castle that makes a good photo of the

Other character snacks are available throughout the park like these Mickey Mouse ice cream. enjoy these Mickey Mouse & Monsters Inc. shaped baked goodies from Sweetheart Cafe. These little green aliens are available in selected kiosks like those near the park in front of the Castle.

Cute character popcorn containers (Y2100) and a variety of flavours are available throughout both Disneyland and Disney Sea. You can get Dumbo, Olaf, R2D2 among the available characters. Enjoy classic popcorn flavours like Caramel, Salt, and Chocolate. You can also be a bit adventurous and try out flavours like Honey, Curry, and Soy Sauce & Butter.

Happiness is here is the afternoon parade along the route that features Classic and popular Disney characters including Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, and Disney Princesses.

Note that when you get a spot in front on the parade route. You are expected to stay seated to allow the people behind to also enjoy the view. Visitors are very considerate of each other so you can watch comfortably seated on the sidewalk or on the benches.
Crowd facing the World Bazaar waiting for the parade to start.

Dreamlights or the Tokyo Disneyland Electric Parade is different from the Electric Parade in Disneyland in California. We found a good spot at where we were able to see it as it turned to the courtyard.

A definite must see is "Once Upon A Time" . This amazing show is in the Cinderella castle forecourt. The show was partially in English. Cinderella Cstle is transformed with projections, lasers, and fireworks. Note that the area near the castle may be filled with smoke after the show.
