Caffeine & Sugar Fix in Cebu

6:11 PM

On a constant search for the best coffee and dessert spots in every place I visit. I explored Cebu on a recent trip, where I discovered new and visited old favorites.
  1. Linear Coffee Roasters
For serious coffee lovers, Linear Coffee Roasters is the place for you. The best spot in Cebu for me to get a really good cup.

Tucked in a little road in Cebu City, this small coffee house roasts their own coffee. Just a stone throw away from Ayala Cebu & the IT Park, it’s easily accessible. They offer several coffee options including pour overs, espresso drinks, and cold brews.

I had a cappuccino on my recent visit and was able to chat with one of the owners. Lance - one of the owners is originally from Laguna and worked as a Barista in Common Man Roasters and Forty Hands and a few others in Singapore.

Their espresso-based beverages are made from beans from Mt. Matumtum in General Santos and use milk from Tenshinzan farms all the way from Negros Occidental. You won’t find sugar here. The owners believe highly in the taste and quality of their brew and milk that you won’t need to add it to enjoy your drink. I found this to be true and for just P100 for the cappuccino, it was worth it.

The place is small and only has a few seats at the bar and a small table & bench outside. It’s reminiscent of small Japanese coffee houses I’ve visited with just the minimum of decor and seating. If there’s one place you should stop by for your caffeine fix, you should definitely head to Linear Coffee Roasters.

A perfect place to enjoy some brew and draft beer on tap. Drip & Draft is located on the ground floor of Streetscape. It’s a great spot to meet to meet friends or co-workers for a cup or for a pint. It’s also a conducive spot to work with their fast wifi and a good amount of tables and outlets.

Drip and Draft serve really good coffee. They’ve even had coffee roaster inside the store. On my recent visit, I ordered their mocha and white cold brew. Their beans for their espresso-based drinks that day was from Nicaragua.
