SEMINYAK









The Seminyak Beach is one of the best beaches for friends and families. It has a wide beach front lined with many good restaurants and resorts. Among the popular one is La Plancha. You can enjoy the beach or lounge on bean bags while watching the sunset and the nightlife on the beach. There are restaurants and bars that have live music at night. 






KUTA
Kuta Beach is primarily a surfing spot and is the original tourist center of Bali. Kuta Beach also boasts a large golden sand beachfront but doesn't have as many options to lounge. The beach isn’t lined with resorts or restaurants but there are vendors who sell some food and drinks. You can choose from the many surfing instructors and rentals on the beach and around Kuta.



Popular with locals and tourists, it is also the center of clubbing and party places. JI Legian is a main road that has several blocks of bars and clubs beside each other. You can bar hop until dawn. This is a good area to stay with friends rather than family.


UBUD
The cultural center of Bali, Ubud is an artist’s paradise. There are many museums, artists workshops, and galleries to see. A quiet area, there are also many Yoga places you can enjoy like the Yoga Barn. Visit the Ubud Art Market also known as Pasar Umum Ubud to appreciate or purchase some traditional Balinese art and handicraft. After, visit the Saraswati Temple, which is just 2 blocks from the Market.



The Saraswati Temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess of learning, literature and art features a beautiful lotus pond. It’s a small temple and is easily accessible. There is no entrance fee but you’ll need to be properly dressed to enter the main temple area. The water garden and lotus pond is on the outside of the main temple so you won’t need a sarong to get in. There is a restaurant and Starbucks at the entrance to the temple from the main road.








If you have more time, visit Tirta Empul known as the holy water spring and the Monkey Forest.



BEDUGUL
Located in the northern part of Bali, Bedugul is a few hours from Kuta or Seminyak. One of the must see here is the Pura Ulun Danu. This temple on the shores of Lake Bratan is dedicated to the gooddess of lakes and rivers “Dewi Batari Ulun Danu” . There is a 30,000 IDR entrance.




PURA BESAKIH or Mother temple of Besakih located in the east of Bali is the holiest of temple. It’s main axis aloigns with the peak of Mt. Agung, Bali’s tallest mountain and the holiest site in Bali.



PURA LEMPUYANG




Pura Lempuyang is a must see. Often photographed, one of its temple gates is dubbed as the “Gateway to Heaven” Located in the east of Bali, it is one of the nine directional temples and one of the most sacred in Bali. This temple functions to protect the island and its people from evil spirits. There are a total of 7 temples located on the mountainside. It has breathtaking views but would require quite a bit of hiking through an uphill road and through a lush forest
